or anything metal.

The owl is a wooden shape that has been painted and googly eyes added for fun.

cards, but great for demonstration purposes showing what can
be made with scraps.

Blue Gate Fold Stepper Card

I have named this style of card a gate fold, stepper card
as it is something I have arranged out of using three pieces
of grey card (odd bits) to make a finished card size to
fit a 6 x 6" envelope.

Cover the panels with Papermania capsule collection
papers once all edges have been inked.

Xcut sew lovely range of dies to cut oval
lace edging on the stamped sentiment, layered onto
the stepper.

Holes punched into gate fold for ribbon to tie shut.

Xcut flower die used for front decoration.

Countryside scene

I have used many stamps to build up a country side scene.

Water colour the scene prior to mat and layering.

I have used Xcut cog dies on red card stock to add interest,
 along with green check ribbon.

Parissiene blue gift box

Parisienne blue gift box:
Papermania papers, pinwheel, ribbon,
buttons, lace paper and a stamped sentiment.

White card 8 x 8" score your card into thirds
horizontal and vertical, then score from each
corner diagonal to the first square, so it looks like
the image below.

Cut your papers to fit into the panels, ink
the papers edges this makes the whole
project blend well together.

Add your pinwheels, buttons, lace paper etc.,
to each panel.

Punch a hole in each corner, thread your
ribbon and tie into a bow this holds
your box together.

Flap cards

Eau de nil flap cards:

Papermania eau de nil papers,
pinwheel, ribbon and xcut dies.  Bling,
Anita's topper, lace doily and a piece of
Velcro to hold the top flap when closed.

Adhere two 6 x 6" white card so both flap
are standing out the front.

Mat an layer two panels one on the right flap
one being the insert area.

Cover the left flap completely with your chosen paper.

Place your image, pinwheel main feature to show
through the flaps and cut out the holes with your dies
the top flap is a larger hole than the one below.

I then cut the top left hand flap to add
shape using scissors and round the point.

Place your Velcro below the rounded
point on the card to hold the flaps closed.

Trains

I get asked for a lot of different men's cards,
here is a selection of trains using the same
stamp with different coloured papers and
watercolours.

All these cards are mat and layered onto
6 x 6 Kraft card and this makes a great base
not only the size, but also compliments the
man theme.

I have used an inverted corner punch on all
these cards, it just shows the background layer
up a bit more.

Used the Xcut gear dies with the screw head
brads.

LOTV sentiment and Spellbinder large cog die
to cut the image out on this one.

Card with bookmark

This card has been made to fit a 6 x 6 envelope
It has a detachable bookmark so this is a card
and gift in one.

I have used Anita's Decoupage and did not attached
the first and second layer, so as you open the card
you have the main image framed.

I have embossed the backing papers using the new
A3 embossing folder by Xcut 'butterflies'
